The fairy is singing a sad song.

For *autumncoloredmelodie 's contest and also for =moonchild-ljilja 's contest

I redid this painting with different colours, only to find out that the first (this one) looked better on camera. lol.

This was my first time using frisket and it was so frustrating! Peeling the frisket was fun, but it was extremely hard not to smudge the paint when I was peeling it off. In the end I found it works better if you wait for the paint to dry a little first : )

I had to take the picture with a camera, so the quality is pretty bad - lots of the colour intensity is lost. Normally, I'd scan my drawings, but a) this is 11"x14", too big for my scanner, and b) oil takes weeks to dry.

Done with oil paints and frisket (for the wings).
